92 Years To Be Exact :)
Celebrated with mom tonight at Charlestons, along with Fred, Mary/Paul, Jenny/Tom, John/Karen, Starley/Ralph, Phil, Isaac/Shelby/Jack, Mandy/Slate (Max is in New Orleans at the Monday night football game vs the New England Patriots).
Here's mom looking pretty darn cute for 92 - don't you think!!
YUM! Mary and Paul enjoyed a bread pudding with mom - she commented that her bread pudding sure didn't taste like this one.
(I think that's because she was enjoying the Grand Marnier sauce!)
Wonder if they ever offered Karen a taste!! :)

Last Of The Roses For The Year
This rose bush was given to Phil by his mom when his brother Paul died, and we think of him every time a new rose blooms. We are so thankful Fred dug this (the rose bush) up from our old house and kept it alive until we moved into our new house. It did good last summer, but this year there was never a week without new blooms... even into November.

The Frost Is On The Pumpkin
. . . our first freeze. Burrr - didn't want to get out of bed this morning.
I'm not ready for winter.
I hate watching the first freeze wipe out all the flowers - and I know I can't cover them all, but our begonias have been so pretty this summer, I just had to throw several blankets over them. Hopefully, we can enjoy them thru Thanksgiving.
love the hardiness of the pansies

More Pics From The Birthday Party
Mom informed me that I had TWENTY FIVE pics of Slate hanging up - hadn't really stopped to count :)
And some of the guests
Pam and Great Grandma "Gigi"
Stormy found a nice comfy lap on Great Grandma Cherry
Cousin Ganon showing Slate how to operate his new car
Cousin Kane being cheesy
and Cousin Jack just being Jack
Slate loved the card that played music
and enjoyed the taste of his cake but didn't care to get his hands messy, so he was content letting his mom put some cake in his mouth while he just looked at it. But he was VERY GOOD with everyone surrounding his highchair with laughter and cameras!
